2012 Reading Challenge Wrap-Up

I participated in two reading challenges in 2012 - the Historical Fiction Reading Challenge and the Mount TBR Reading Challenge - both of which I figured would be easily achieved.  While I had no difficulty achieving and far surpassing my goal for the Historical Fiction Reading Challenge, I failed miserably at the TBR Challenge.    Here's a closer look at how I did (click on the book titles to, if applicable, read my review):

How did you do on your challenges?

  1. You did GREAT on your challenges. I completed my challenges but only by setting the bar low on the TBR challenge. Clearing 28 books off the pile is a wonderful accomplishment!

    1. I guess 28 isn't too bad, but considering the number of books I have on my TBR pile it isn't great LOL.

  2. Great year of books, Melissa!! Interesting, looking over your ratings, only one author qualified for 5 stars....looks like Hilary Mantel is your girl! I only signed up for one challenge this year (The Victorian Challenge), and kept the pressure low. Can't wait to see what 2013 brings to your blog! Happy New Year!

    1. I have a couple of other 5 star reads for the year, but they aren't historical fiction. I'll include them in my Best of 2012 list.

  3. That's a very impressive list Melissa! Have you tried any of the Shardlake novels by C.J. Sansom? I've rated/reviewed some on Goodreads.

    1. I've not yet read the Shardlake novels, but I have many reading friends who enjoy the series and I do have Dissolution sitting on my TBR pile. I hope to finally get to it in 2013.
